"As a business owner, I am extremely customer-oriented and product savy, but words like "Ledger Codes" and "Cost of Goods Sold" are rather meaningless to me. After much research, I purchased the Intuit Quickbooks Point of Sale software because it is essentially driven by the everyday sales tasks that I need (Ringing up Purchases, taking Deposits for Layaways or Items to Order, Handling Items coming in for Repair, Maintaining a Cash drawer and Handling Charge Cards). Everything in the system is laid out very simply and easy to use for the Non-Accountant. Our year-end inventory process was reduced to hours from a span that used to run weeks. The "Quickbooks Remote Access" service is inexpensive (less than $8/month) and it allows my Accountant to log-in and assist me with any questions or issues which arise during the course of the day."
