Pros: Easy payment processing using Intuit QuickBooks Point of Sale software
Cons: Funding time
Business type: Bookstore and Coffee Shop
# of employees employed by the business: 5
"While we've not had any real issues with Merchant Service, we've come to the opinion that Point-of-Sale is a little cumbersome - importing inventory is frequently challenging, and import/export is not immediately compatible with QuickBooks Financial Software; inventory spreadsheets must always be reformulated and mapped. Older, less-computer savvy users have difficulty navigating. Additionally, it is not the best for the foodservice portion of our business. Nonetheless, Merchant Services has been acceptable; fees and deposit times are competitive."
"We do not like the fact that layaways can not be transferred into a sale. You have to close out the layaway and then create a sale ticket. A waste of time to have layaway at all. Better to just handwrite a receipt."
Industry type: Specialized Trades (such as plumber or electrician, HVAC)
Average monthly charge volume: $2001-$5000
Not thrilled at all.
Date:February 13, 2009
Cons: Poor Customer Service, no estimates ., no spell check.
Business type: Marine Repair Shop

"This product was sold to me to enhance my Quickbook software in a marine repair business. It does not even offer estimates. Also it does not offer spellcheck which was in my original Quickbooks program. I am deeply disapointed that I bought this and feel like I wasted my money."
